About Nikola Čuturilo
Nikola Čuturilo, known as Čutura, is a Serbian rock musician born on 9 July 1962. He is known as a guitarist of Riblja Čorba and for his long solo career. He started as a teenager in 1976 in the band Kredit with Igor Popović, later the frontman of Jakarta, and in 1977 the two formed Paviljon. After a year there he joined Bicikl, with which he recorded the 1981 single "Palanačka hronika" / "Dečja pesma". After his army service he played in Siluete and then Zamba, which released the album Udarac nisko, and in 1984 he toured with Električni Orgazam.
In September 1984 he joined Riblja Čorba, forming a new guitar duo with Vidoja "Džindžer" Božinović. In five years with the band he played on the albums Istina (1985), Osmi nervni slom (1986), Ujed za dušu (1987) and Priča o ljubavi obično ugnjavi (1988). He also wrote lyrics for Kerber and for three YU Grupa albums, including the hits "Zaboravi", "Mornar" and "Dunavom šibaju vetrovi".
His first solo album, 9 lakih komada (1988), had all songs written by him, with musicians from Leb i Sol, YU Grupa and Ekatarina Velika, and rock and roll pioneer Mile Lojpur guesting on "Kad je Lojpur svirao". Raskršće followed in 1989, and in September that year he left Riblja Čorba and formed Oblaci. Čutura & Oblaci released Rekom ljubavi in 1991, with the radio hits "Glorija", "Pustiću radio", "Reka ljubavi" and "Srećan put".
In November 1991 he moved to London, where he played the clubs with musicians such as Paul Rodgers and Micky Moody, and recorded the album I.D. (1998). Nemir (2006) was produced by Block Out leader Nikola Vranjković, and Tu i sad (2012) brought a new version of "Voli me", a cover of Pop Mašina's "Sećanja" and "Sanjam da je bolje". He also wrote the official song of the 2012 European Men's Handball Championship. His music videos are gathered here in one playlist.
