Na lepem prijazni

Na lepem prijazni, often shortened to NLP, is a rock band from Ljubljana, Slovenia, formed in 1978. It is on Muzika-Balkan because it was founded in Ljubljana and has been part of the Slovenian scene since; the sources name no other home for it. Its songs are sung in Slovenian, and its sound mixes new wave, funk and rock.

The driving force has always been the guitarist Vojko Aleksič. At first the band played instrumental music, until Andrej Trobentar joined as singer and lyricist. In January 1980 they recorded the single "Faeton" with "Črna ovca", and the music magazine Džuboks named "Faeton" the second best single of the year.

Their first album, Na lepem prijazni, was recorded at Studio Akademik in Ljubljana in late 1980 and released in 1981. It was produced by Braco Doblekar, who also played saxophone and percussion, and the line-up was Trobentar, Aleksič, Al Stone on bass, Roman Škraba on drums and Andrija Pušić on keyboards. Songs from it include "Masaž", "Medvedove hruške" and "Lisica". In 1994 Nika reissued the album with the single as What a Time to Make a Fool of You, adding a new recording of "Lisica".

After a long break the band returned in 2005 with the album Potaplja se raj, released on Nika as Na lepem prijazni mutant. A critic in Mladina wondered at the time why they had come back, noting that unlike Lačni Franz few people still remembered them. They carried on anyway, with Tudi če se vrnemo nazaj (2012), Srceder (2017) and Uživaj (2023), which includes "Beton", "Vesolje" and the title song.

Today Aleksič plays with Ludvik Bagari on vocals, Boštjan Franetič on guitar, Damir Vintar on bass, Luka Kuhar on drums and Žiga Fabbro on saxophone and keyboards. The playlist holds the songs of Uživaj and older tracks such as "Lisica" and "Dracula bluz".
