About Martin Kosovec
Martin Kosovec is a Croatian pop singer, a young crooner who won the fourth season of The Voice Hrvatska in 2024. He was born on 8 May 2005 in Sveti Ivan Zelina and comes from a musical family: his father Mladen is a musician and multi-instrumentalist. He went to the Dragutin Domjanić primary school there and then to the Rudolf Perešin aviation technical school in Velika Gorica.
He started singing at five and never studied music formally, taking private lessons with the vocal coach Bojan Pogrmilović instead. As a boy he appeared on RTL Zvjezdice and Supertalent and sang the hits of Vice Vukov, Oliver Dragojević and Vinko Coce, and at home he sang in a choir and as a soloist, including songs of Ivo Robić and an excerpt from Alfi Kabiljo's musical Jalta, Jalta. Many have compared him with Robić, Vukov and Frank Sinatra; he rejects the comparisons but names Sinatra as his favourite singer.
On The Voice he auditioned with Sinatra's "My Way" and joined Dino Jelusić's team. He lost his battle, but Vanna took him into hers. With Vice Vukov's "Tvoja zemlja" he reached the semi-final, with "Unchained Melody" the final, and he won the final with 64 percent of the public vote singing Massimo Savić's "Sjaj u tami".
His first single, "Maštarija", written by Vanna, premiered in the second semi-final of Dora 2024. In March 2024 he sang at Alfi Kabiljo's symphonic concert with Radojka Šverko and Đani Stipaničev, and on 1 May 2024 he gave a joint concert in Zagreb with Gibonni. Singles such as "Stigma", "Ti si bila moje sunce", "Balada" and "Atlas" followed, and he played Ivo Robić in the TV series Dnevnik velikog Perice and voiced several roles in the Croatian version of the animated film Hitpig (2025). The playlist gathers his singles.
