About Ledeni

Ledeni is the stage name of Damijan Kovačič, a rapper and producer from Ljubljana, Slovenia, also known as Ledeni Denile or simply Denile. He was born in Ljubljana and has made his music there, which is why he is on Muzika-Balkan; Wikipedia calls him a South Slavic trap and hip hop artist, and his base is the Ljubljana scene, where he has also played clubs as a DJ.

He started recording demos as a teenager and released his first mixtape, Fixtape Vol. 1, in 2008. A year later his song "Sam za pikico" appeared on the compilation Spaced Out. Wikipedia calls it the first trap song in Slovenian; it was played on radio and television and made his name, and Radio Val 202 called him "the future of Slovenian hip hop". Fixtape Vol. 2 followed in 2010, with new sounds and rapping styles, and in 2012 he was briefly signed to Menart Records.

In 2013 and 2014 he released videos for "Peit dol niži", "Feder", "JCVD" and "Hejterji na kiti". "JCVD" was on Radio Študent's list of the best music of 2013, and he performed on television and radio and in clubs across Slovenia. In 2015 he tried songs in English, and videos such as "Spvceship" were picked up by underground music channels. After a break in 2016 he released the mixtape Trillion Underworld and, on 19 October 2018, his first album, 1100, presented at a sold-out concert in Ljubljana. He has since played Trapslavija festivals in North Macedonia.

From 2019 he also DJed trap and phonk in Ljubljana clubs, and since the pandemic he has worked more as an electronic producer under the name Brrrski, with Ledeni songs coming now and then: "Columbiana", "Papi", "Vse 1" and "Sanje in travme" among them. The playlist gathers the Ledeni videos from his channel.
