About Krankšvester
Krankšvester, also known simply as Švester, is a hip hop duo from Osijek, formed in 2010 by 3ki Stil (Davor Miletić, later just 3ki) and Sett (Hrvoje Marjanović). Both had made records before: 3ki Stil the solo albums Cirkus (2006) and U potrazi za nekim čankirom (2008), Sett a run of releases from Demo za demos (2000) to Vodič kroz život za bezbrižne (2009).
The duo is known for deliberately vulgar, provocative, satirical and sarcastic lyrics, most often about sex, over a sound the press has called "happy hardcore", with dance influences from the VIVA and MTV era. Their albums are simply numbered: Krankšvester I (2010), II (2012), III (2014), the bonus album Švester je istina (2016), IV (2017) and V (2021), followed by Dobri dečki in 2024.
Their biggest success was the underground hit "Gaber" from 2017, and "Retardirana" and "Slava" became hits as well, while "Svekar", "Disco rak" and "Majko zovi dilera" count among their classics. In 2022 they won the Porin for the best hip hop album, the 29th Porin award, and they keep filling clubs across Croatia.
The playlist is the album Krankšvester V, with the video hits "Slava", "DiP" and "Ćerka" and songs such as "Samo kad sam pijan" and "Bol košta".
