About Igor Vukojević

Igor Vukojević is a Bosnian pop singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born on 12 July 1975 in Doboj. His father, Vladimir, was a professional musician, and Igor first played the drums on stage with his father's rock group Tok života as a small child; at seven he was a full member of the band, playing drums and singing pop and rock hits.

He took up the guitar at about ten, wrote his first song at 11 and made his first arrangement at 14. His solo career began at the Budva festival in 1994, and his first album, which he wrote, arranged and performed alone in a rock and jazz style, came out on the Belgrade label Komuna in December 1996. He lived and worked in Belgrade in 1997 and 1998, and his album Južnije od duše (Renome, 1999) gave him a big hit with its title song.

Samo ona (City Records, 2001), Ringišpil (2003), Bijelo zlato (Hayat, 2006), with the hits "Haljina bijela" and "Vječna robija", and Lovac i plijen (2010), a turn towards pop-rock, followed. With "1100 stepeni" he had one of the most played songs of the Forte 2000 festival in Sarajevo, and in 2002 he won the interpretation award and the journalists' award at the Varna festival in Bulgaria.

Igor Vukojević has sung in the Bosnian Eurovision selection three times: in 1999 with "Glumica", in 2003 with his own "Srce ne pita", which came third, and in 2005 with his own "Jabuka", third again after winning the televote. In 2007 he sang "Dobro te znam" in the Serbian selection, Beovizija. At Melodije Mostara, "Bura" won the interpretation award in 2009 and "Kišni čovjek" the Grand Prix in 2010. The video for "Jabuka" won the Davorin award for video of the year in 2006, and "Vječna robija" was hit of the year at the BH Radio Festival in Zenica.

He has sung with the Sarajevo Philharmonic, including "Bohemian Rhapsody" and the Indexi song "Modra rijeka", was a guest on Toše Proeski's Bosnian tour, and writes, arranges and produces for other singers too. Since late 2008 he has played with his own Igor Vukojević & Band, and in 2025 he released the album 25 with "Ronilac", "Iskorišten" and "Jastuk".
