About Grše

Grše, born Grgo Šipek on 22 November 1995, is a Croatian rapper and lyricist from Trilj, the town near Split where he grew up and spent most of his life. He now lives in Split.

He started making music at the end of secondary school, founding the group III. čin with his friend Mateo Đonlić, known as Đona. In 2016 he went to work in Germany and spent a short time in the group 6wild. His solo career began in 2018, and a year later he founded his own label, Blockstar Digital, which is also the name of the collective he belongs to.

His first official single, "Badr Hari", came out in 2019, and a few months later his debut album, Tilurium. The second album, Platinum, followed on 7 March 2021; its lead single "Highlife" reached number 15 on the Croatia Songs chart and became his first charting song. He has played festivals and student events around Croatia, among them Drito iz Tvornice, Drito iz MSU-a, Graffiti na Gradele and STEM Games.

In early 2023 he released "Mamma Mia" through Yem. It entered Billboard's Croatia Songs chart at number one, the first song by a Croatian artist to top it, and it has stayed at number one longer than any other song on that chart. In February 2024 he held the first two places at once, with "Fantazija", recorded with Mia Čičak, and "Tokyo Drift" with the Serbian singer Mimi Mercedez, while "Mamma Mia" and "Sip" were still in the top twenty.

Around the same time he won the Cesarica Digital Bestseller award as the most successful Croatian streaming artist of 2023, and he played his biggest solo concert so far at Dom sportova in Zagreb. The playlist here is his Topic channel, from "Badr Hari" and the album Tilurium to "Mamma Mia", "Dalmatino", "Balalajka" and his newest singles.
