Flirrt

Flirrt is a Slovenian pop rock band from Ljubljana and the continuation of Flirt, a group that released its first album in 1997. Both have been led by the singer and songwriter Rok Lunaček, who wrote the lyrics and most of the music.

Flirt began with Frizerski salon (1997), an album with a britpop sound made by members who were on average about 19 years old; its lead single was "Jutranji striptiz". Modroplavo (1998) made them known, with a sound closer to new wave and the eighties, and with the singles "Ko je ni", the most played song of 1999, and "Njena balada".

With Univerzum (2000) the band became one of the most popular pop groups in Slovenia, with hits such as "Inja", "Koga sanja", "Romeo in Julija", "Poljubi me" and "Prvič". At the height of that success, while a new album was being prepared, Lunaček left, and Flirt soon stopped playing.

In 2009 the band came back together. Because the line-up was not the same, they added an extra R to the name: Lunaček and drummer Katarina Nasteska returned, joined by guitarist David Stritar. Horizont came out in 2010 and Lajf in 2013. The acoustic Izpod kovtra (2014) grew out of their work with Jure Longyka's show Izštekani; at its anniversary concert in Kino Šiška they were joined by Hamo, Tinkara Kovač, Katarina Juvančič, Denis Horvat and the Big Band RTV Slovenija. With Tinkara Kovač they also sang the duet "Klovn".

For the band's 20th anniversary in 2017 Flirrt released the first part of the double album Jekyll & Hyde, completed in 2018, with singles such as "Ne trezen, ne pijan", "Z levo nogo vstat" with Janez Zmazek - Žan, and two songs with the accordionist Jure Tori. In 2021 they recorded a new version of "Romeo in Julija", which was the most played song for five weeks, followed by "Ko leživa", a new "Ona" in 2023, "Kometa", "Ostani za vedno" and "Za naju". In 2025, at a sold-out concert in Ljubljana's Križanke, Flirrt released their eighth studio album, Blizu.
