About Džemal Malovčić

Džemal Malovčić was a Bosnian folk singer, songwriter and accordionist, the younger brother of Kemal Malovčić. He was born in 1947 in Sanski Most, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is why he is on Muzika-Balkan, and he died in Vienna, Austria, in 1992.

He was a great support to his brother at the start of Kemal's career: he wrote music and lyrics for Kemal's songs, and he was a good singer and accordion player himself. He made his own records for the Diskos label, beginning in 1974 with Neverstvo prijatelja, which also carried "Sano, Sanski moste", a song about his home town. Što prolazi ne vraća se followed in 1975, Kuda lutaš, gde si sada with "Udata je ona majko" in 1976, and Što si tužno srce moje with "Večeras se ženim brate" in 1977.

In 1981 he released Vraćam, plaćam dug prošlosti with "Ja ću znati šta sin piše tati", and in 1984 Javi mi se, adresa je stara, with songs such as "Dečak skita", "Namiguj", "Hobi" and "Neću suze, neću tugu". The playlist gathers Džemal Malovčić's recordings from 1974 to 1984.
