Dimitar Andonovski

Dimitar Andonovski is a Macedonian pop singer from Bitola, where he was born on 6 September 1985 and where he still lives. He has sung since childhood and has released singles steadily since 2003.

Music came early. He went to the lower music school in Bitola, finished the secondary music school there as a violinist and enrolled at the music academy in Skopje. He first sang on stage in 1994, at the children's festival Si-Do, with "Koga Ema bi znaela", a song that was very popular at the time, and then appeared in the Macedonian Television series Zdravo genijalci. Since then, as he puts it himself, he has always been in music.

In 2003 he was among the finalists of the M2 Produkcija talent show, singing Igor Uzunov's "Mi trebaš kako molitva" in the semi-final. The same year brought his debut album, Potraga po sodzvezdie, and the single "Ne sakav da te zasakam".

A steady run of singles followed: "Sè ušte me sonuvaš" and "Isti zborovi" in 2006, "Mi zede se" in 2008, "Zarobeni vo son" and "Ova nebo znae se" in 2009, "Kameno srce" and "Gledaj me vo oči" in 2010, "Svoj na svoeto" in 2011 and "Dobro me poznavaš" in 2012. In 2013 alone he released "Mesečina", "Ako me boli", "Vo mene ljubovta umira" and "Razbudi me na polnoḱ".

In May 2014 he went to the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen as one of the backing vocalists for Tijana Dapčević and her song "To the Sky". That November he competed himself at Skopje Fest, the Macedonian selection for Eurovision 2015, with "Se što ti vetiv", written by Lazar Cvetkoski and Magdalena Cvetkoska. "Žal mi e" followed in 2015.

Dimitar Andonovski has kept releasing music since, among it "Ako odam vo Bitola" (2022), recorded with Fontana and Sarah Mace, and "Gubam kontrola".
