Detour

Detour is a Croatian pop band led by the songwriter, producer and guitarist Nenad Borgudan, known for an electro-acoustic pop sound that also draws on baroque pop, rock, funk and jazz. The band grew out of the group Yammat: until early 2006 Borgudan's group worked under that name, and after parting ways with its manager, who owned the name, it carried on as Detour, with most of Yammat's players.

The debut album, Detour, came out in October 2006 with Maja Posavec as the singer, and both it and the second album, Detour TV, were nominated for the Porin for best club album. Early songs such as "Ljeto počinje", "Mjesec", "Gledano sa strane" and "Prijatelj" come from those first two records.

The third album, A što ak' ja..., was the turning point. It won the Porin for best pop album in 2014 and gave the band "Srce veliko", "Snijeg", "Daleko" and "Plešem sama". "Zaljubila sam se" followed in 2016, became the most-played song on Croatian radio that year and won the Porins for song of the year and best group performance with vocals in 2017. For the band's tenth anniversary, Detour 10 gave older songs new arrangements.

TourDetour, with "Biram", "Bez tebe", "Vikend" and "Skrivena", won the Porin for best pop album in 2019, and "Bez tebe" the Porin for best group performance with vocals. At the end of 2018 the band played the biggest concert of its career, in the small hall of Dom sportova. From 2020 the band moved away from a single lead singer; today it has six members, with Ivana Giova Radan and Laura John on vocals.

In 2022 Detour won the award of the expert jury and radio editors at the 69th Zagreb Festival with "Nekad je bilo bolje", and in 2023 they placed third at Dora, the Croatian Eurovision selection, with "Master Blaster", the title song of their sixth studio album.
