Clemens

Clemens is the stage name of Klemen Mramor, a Slovenian pop singer and actor born on 31 December 1992 in Ljubljana. He sings in Slovenian, mostly in its relaxed everyday spoken form.

He first came to the attention of the Slovenian public in 2011 as a contestant in Misija Evrovizija, the show that chose Slovenia's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. His first single, "Pozab na bonton", followed in 2014, and in 2015 he reached EMA with his own song "Mava to". Before the summer came the ballad "Vse bo kul". That year he also sang at the opening of the Slovenian pavilion at Expo in Milan, in front of an international audience, and presented "A si sploh tista?" live in Hala Tivoli at a concert by Jan Plestenjak.

With "Jst bi te mel" he was chosen for Poprock at the Dnevi slovenske zabavne glasbe festival in 2016, and the video for the song went to number one on the MTV Adria chart Domaćica. He returned to the EMA stage in 2017 with "Tok ti sede", invited by RTV Slovenija as a replacement for Amaya, who had withdrawn. That autumn he took part in the fourth season of Znan obraz ima svoj glas, winning two weeks with impressions of LMFAO and Eric Clapton, and released "A loh prespim?" during the series.

Music is only part of his work. Clemens studied acting, including at the Guildford School of Acting in England, and works in directing and in dubbing cartoons and series, among them Star Wars, The Smurfs, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Peter Pan. He has acted in television commercials, one with Kate Upton for the game Game of War and a series for Volkswagen with Magnifico, played himself in the comedy series Da, dragi! Da, draga! and a doctor in Usodno vino. In 2018 he played Sonny and Roger in the musical Briljantina, which premiered at Cankarjev dom on 22 June 2018.
