About Bobi Andonov

Bobi Andonov, also written Bobby Andonov, is an Australian pop singer, songwriter and producer, born on 28 August 1994 in Melbourne. His parents come from Strumica in North Macedonia, so he is as much Australian as Macedonian. He sings mostly in English and has lived in Los Angeles since 2015.

He was on stage early. At nine he was chosen as one of four young Simbas in The Lion King, staged in Melbourne and Shanghai. At fourteen he won the Macedonian national final for Junior Eurovision and represented the country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Limassol, Cyprus, with "Prati mi SMS", finishing fifth with 93 points. In 2010 he won the public vote in his semi-final of the fourth season of Australia's Got Talent and went on to the grand final.

He presented his first self-written song, "War Is Love", in 2013 and soon wrote for others: "Born to Run" for the Dutch DJ Afrojack in 2014, and in 2015 songs for Joel Fletcher and Cyrus Villanueva, among them "Stone", the single of the X Factor Australia winner, which reached number 4 on the ARIA chart.

In November 2015 Bobi Andonov signed with Hollywood Records and moved to the United States. His singles "Apartment" (2017), "Faithful" and "Smoke" (2018) were followed by "Until the Morning" (2022), "Bad Decisions" (2023), "Potential" and "Anymore" (2024). Through a deal with Warner Music Australia he released two EPs, In Bad Company in August 2023 and Saint in May 2024. Since 2025 he has worked independently and has been preparing his first full-length album.

In 2026 he went back to the language he first sang in with "Moment", a Macedonian-language pop ballad written with Magdalena Cvetkoska and co-produced by Donny Bravo. He has long been named as a possible singer for North Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
