Baks

Baks, born Bartol Stepanić, is a Croatian rapper, songwriter and singer. According to Croatian Wikipedia he was born on 19 May 2004 in Donja Lomnica. He started making music during the 2020 lockdown, when he was in his first year at a technical secondary school in Zagreb, and in 2023 he finished the School of Graphics, Design and Media Production.

His debut album, Izgubljen u novom svijetu, came out in 2020 and was followed by Nakon svega in 2021. The breakthrough came with DOPAMIN in 2023: the album brought guest spots from names then at the top of the Croatian scene, such as Hiljson Mandela, Yung Bude and Miach, and the song "mama, zaljubio sam se u njene ožiljke" soon became a hit with a younger audience. His fourth album, DOPAMIN 2, followed in February 2024, with Mandela, Rovli, Špiro, Peki and Goca among the guests.

In March 2026 he released the single "Push To Start", again with Hiljson Mandela, to announce his fifth album, BUNNY, which came out in May 2026.

His music mixes trap, pop and pop-folk. Baks names the Serbian rapper Klinac as the one who got him into trap, and American rappers such as Travis Scott, Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Tecca and Lil Yachty among his biggest influences.

The playlist is his own YouTube channel: official videos such as "KISS", "Pudlica", "Pina Colada" and "LJIGAV!", and the audio of his albums, from the early "Kraj" and "Zatamnjena stakla" to the songs of BUNNY.
