About Adrijana Krasniqi
Adrijana Krasniqi, known simply as Adrijana, is a Swedish singer, songwriter and rapper who makes hip-hop, pop and R&B in Swedish. She was born on 4 November 1997. Her family are Albanians from North Macedonia: the Swedish broadcaster SVT reported that she came to Sweden from Macedonia at the age of five, when the family settled in Rottne, a village a few miles outside Växjö.
Already in preschool she stood out as a born performer, SVT wrote, and her mother gave her a small piano that she played constantly. She soon began writing her own songs. Her first official single, "Mammas Opel", came out in 2015, followed in 2016 by "Boi" and "Det vi har", recorded with Jireel. In October 2016 she signed with Universal Music Sweden, and later that year she performed on the hip-hop stage at Debaser in Stockholm.
Her big moment came at Melodifestivalen 2017, the Swedish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. She sang "Amare", which she wrote with Martin Tjärnberg, in the first heat on 4 February 2017. The song finished sixth of seven and did not reach the final, but it entered the Swedish singles chart, and Universal released it as a single on 26 February 2017. By then she was living in Stockholm and singing at hip-hop clubs around the country.
"Nån som mig" had opened 2017 for her, and her official channel went on to release "Det är lugnt", "Tänker på mig", "Angelo" and "Vad kommer sen" that spring, "Svår", "Se mig" and "Allt" in 2018, and "Juju" in January 2019.
