Sotap

Sotap is a rock band from Kosovo that plays a heavy mix of metal, stoner rock and punk. Wikipedia's article on the music of Kosovo lists them among the country's metal bands.

In December 2018 they opened the Resist Winter Gathering, a small private show of punk and metal bands in Fushë Kosovë. The Kosovo 2.0 reviewer saw a three-piece in which a guitar run through an octaver stood in for the bass, and heard "a very interesting blend of metal, nu metal" with Helmet-style guitars and noise punk. Shlem and Frisson played the same night, and on 1 January 2019 the three bands shared the stage again at Termokiss in Prishtina.

Sotap released a self-titled album on 24 July 2021, with songs such as "Diskotekë", "Spidë", "Prishtinë" and "Gropë", and followed it on 13 October 2023 with the Surprizë EP, which includes "Thiu", "Bunker", "Semafori", "Ditëlindje" and an acoustic version of "Raketë". They sing in Albanian.
