About Nikki Louder
Nikki Louder is a Slovenian alternative rock trio from the area around Kamnik, north of Ljubljana, and it is based there: that is why it is on Muzika-Balkan. The band is Blaž Sever on vocals and guitar and the brothers Peter Cerar on bass and Luka Cerar on drums. Their sound is loud garage and noise rock. For most of their career they sang in English; their 2022 album is in Slovenian.
They started with the EP Silent Bird (2008) on Cheap Tunes Records, and a song of theirs was on Klubski maraton 08, the compilation of Radio Študent's club tour for new bands. The first album, Alain, I'm Sorry, came out in 2009 on the Radio Študent label, followed by Our World Died Yesterday (2011), a self-titled EP (2012) and Golden Men (2013).
In August 2015 they played the Gala hala at Metelkova in Ljubljana together with the Canadian noise rock band Viet Cong. In November 2015 they released the single "Trout", which announced their fourth album of the same name, out on 15 December 2015.
A self-titled album followed in 2020 on Moonlee Records, with "Tail Droop When Girls Leave", "Sip and Again" and "I Think Not". In 2022 came Ostani čista in kulturna, also on Moonlee, their first album in Slovenian, with "Internet teles", "Trate", "Črni Lord" and "Izparevam". The playlist holds both of these records.
