About Let 3
Let 3 is a rock band from Rijeka, started as Let 2 in February 1986 and renamed Let 3 early the next year. Its creative core has always been singer Zoran Prodanović Prlja and bassist Damir Martinović Mrle, who had played in the Rijeka punk band Termiti in the late 1970s. The band is known for theatrical, provocative shows and a crude sense of humour.
The debut album Two Dogs Fuckin' (1989) brought "Izgubljeni", "Sam u vodi", "Ne trebam te" and "U rupi od smole", and El Desperado followed in 1991. Peace (1994) had "Kontinentio", "Nafta", "Droga" and "Elefante elettrico", followed by Živi kurac (1996) and Nečuveno (1997). In 1997 they won their first Porin, for theatre music.
Jedina, released on 15 May 2000, was recorded over two years with producer Janez Križaj. Its guests included the vocal quartet E.N.I., the Roma group Crni dijamanti, Klapa Silba, tenor Voljen Grbac and horn players from Jinx. It won the 2001 Porin for best alternative album, and "Profesor Jakov" was song of the year at the Crni mačak awards. Jedina is the playlist here.
In 2006 the band won the Porins for best rock album and, with "Ero s onoga svijeta", best video. In 2023 Let 3 won Dora with 279 points and represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool with "Mama ŠČ!", which came 13th in the final with 123 points and won the Porin for song of the year in 2024; "Babaroga" was their entry at Dora 2024. Their later albums are ŠČ! (2023) and RKTRD NDRD (2025).
They have recorded with Alka Vuica ("Drama"), Tereza Kesovija ("Sam u vodi"), Tinkara Kovač ("Maček v žaklju") and TBF ("Izgubljeni" and "Glavanovo / Malo san maka"). Today the band is Prlja, Mrle, drummer Ivan Bojčić and guitarists Dražen Baljak and Matej Zec.
