Lepra

Lepra is a thrash metal band from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it is on Muzika-Balkan under Bosnia because it was formed and is based in Sarajevo. The band describes itself as a thrash metal band from Sarajevo, established in 2018.

After several line-up changes, the band took its present shape in February 2020. It had begun as a punk project, and when a new frontman joined that year Lepra turned to thrash metal. A first recording, the demo EP Thrash All Night, came out in December 2020.

The debut album, Hellfire Madness, was released on 18 February 2023, with "Run or R.I.P." as one of its songs. New songs followed, among them "Reign of God", "Axe Concussion" and "Thrash Maniacs", and the band has said it is working on a second album.

In April 2025 Lepra played the Eternal Flame metal festival at Dom mladih in Sarajevo, where the organisers presented it as one of the best-known domestic thrash metal bands, a group to carry the flag of Sarajevo metal. The playlist gathers the band's videos from its own channel, including the whole of Hellfire Madness.
