About Here and Everywhere
Here and Everywhere is an international rock duo founded in 2025 by the Serbian singer Aleksandra Josić and the Slovenian composer and drummer Rok Golob. Golob, born on 11 February 1975 in Ljubljana, is the Slovenian half of the duo, and the duo grew out of the Slovenian band KiNG FOO: that is why they are on Muzika-Balkan. The sources do not say where the duo is based today; on stage they play with an extended line-up of guest musicians.
Rok Golob is the son of the composer Jani Golob. He studied composition at the Ljubljana Academy of Music and took master classes in film music in Los Angeles, and he works as a composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, mainly in popular music and jazz. He has played on more than 50 records and written for orchestras, choirs, big bands, film and television, and has worked with Bobby McFerrin, Elmer Bernstein and José Carreras as well as Slovenian artists such as Darja Švajger, Magnifico, Siddharta, Oto Pestner and Jadranka Juras.
The duo's road began in KiNG FOO, a four-piece formed in 2013. Aleksandra Josić became its lead singer in 2015, and the band's first song with her was "Galaksije bežijo". At Slovenska popevka 2016 KiNG FOO came third with the ballad "Začaraj me"; Josić won the prize for best interpretation and Golob the one for best arrangement. They reached the final of EMA 2017 with "Wild Ride", returned to EMA in 2018, and released the album GalaXie in November 2017. In 2022 they opened for Zucchero at Arena Stožice in Ljubljana and for Hollywood Vampires at Burg Clam in Austria, and in January 2025 they were named best alternative rock band at the Radio Wigwam Awards in London.
In 2025 Josić and Golob started again as a hard rock duo under a new name. One day after its official start, Here and Everywhere opened for Bryan Adams at Burg Clam, and a month later they played with Scorpions in Tirana. In March 2026 their cover of Whitesnake's "Still of the Night" went viral. At the end of May 2026 they released the single "It's in the way" from the coming album Seeker of the Source, partly recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London and mixed by Andrew Scheps. In July 2026 they played the Chauffer dans la Noirceur festival in France.
