About Davorin i Bogovići
Davorin i Bogovići is the rock band of Davorin Bogović, the Zagreb singer who co-founded Prljavo kazalište and sang on its first records. Bogović was born in Zagreb on 23 March 1960 and grew up in the Dubrava district.
In 1976 he co-founded the band Ciferšlus, which became Prljavo kazalište when Jasenko Houra joined in 1977. Bogović sang on the debut album Prljavo kazalište (1979), with "Ja sam mladić u najboljim godinama" and "Sretno dijete", and on Crno-bijeli svijet (1980), whose title song is his. He missed the recording of Heroj ulice, came back as lead singer for Korak od sna (1983), with "Sve je lako kad si mlad", and left for good in 1985, shortly before Zlatne godine. On Devedeseta (1990) he returned as a guest, sharing "Nemoj misliti da se izvlačim" with Houra.
After Prljavo kazalište he formed his own band, the Bogovići. With guitarist Luka Nekić, bassist Siniša Radaković and drummer Željko Dijaković he recorded the album Sretno dijete for Croatia Records. A new line-up of guitarists Ernest Vinković and Leo Anđelković, bassist Boris Hrepić and drummer Tomislav Hajak made Mijene in 2012, and a Greatest Hits Collection followed in 2020. In a 2023 interview with Novi list, Bogović said the band had released three albums and had signed again with Croatia Records, with two new albums agreed for the next five years.
Away from the band he worked as a music editor at Radio 101, wrote the music for the theatre show Gustl salon (1997) with his cousin Damir Šaban, and in 2007 recorded "Volim nogomet", the theme of an HRT2 show. On 17 January 2009 he sang with Prljavo kazalište again at the band's 30th-anniversary concert in the Zagreb Arena, released as XXX godina.
The playlist gathers the band's songs, among them "Krenimo", "Mijene", "Nebo bez ptica", "Dvije iskre" and "Prike", recorded with Neno Belan.
