Adnan Jakupović

Adnan Jakupović is a Bosnian folk singer, born on 30 July 1987 in Mostar. He started singing seriously after secondary school and first made his name at sevdah festivals around Bosnia and Herzegovina, where he won several prizes, often taking both the jury's first place and the audience vote.

Encouraged by friends and family, in 2008 he entered the contest Hayat production traži zvijezdu. He won it, ahead of 40 other singers, and the prize was the chance to record a debut album, which started his career and his long collaboration with Hayat Production and Hayat Television.

His best-known song is "Mostarska", a tribute to his home town that he still sings at every concert. "Srećo moja", "Daj mi još malo vremena", "Hladna voda", "Mene zaboravi" and "Mjeseče" are among his other songs, and he made official videos for "Mati" (2017) and "Pjeske" (2018). In 2023 he recorded "Mostarska" and "Mjeseče" live at the Vrata Balkana concert. He also performs with his own band at weddings and concerts across Bosnia and the diaspora, and his channel holds a duet with Pero Gudelj.
