Vagina Corporation

Vagina Corporation is an alternative rock band from Skopje, in Macedonian Korporacija Vagina. It began in the early 2020s as a solo project of the singer Luka Jovanoski, known from the Skopje band Lufthansa, who recorded two albums on his own. After a run of concerts it grew into a full band by 2023.

The band calls its sound KRAP, short for krautrock, Americana and psychedelia. Festival programmes describe sharp guitar riffs and shifting dynamics drawn from the industrial, concrete surroundings of Skopje, songs about the pressures of city life, and live shows that close the gap between stage and audience. Its album Vreme e! includes "Katerino", "Germanski rok", "Lažov", "Dali e ova tolku?" and "Cactus", and the single "Statua" had its own music video.

As a full band they re-recorded songs from the earlier albums in new arrangements, filmed as the live session film "Dali ova e živo?" with versions of "Nova gitara", "Zapalena šuma" and "Statua". Vagina Corporation played DokuNights at DokuFest in 2023 and MENT in Ljubljana in February 2024, by then on the Gola Planina label with two studio albums and a live record, and was on the line-up of the INmusic festival in Zagreb in 2025.
