Stidljiva ljubičica

Stidljiva ljubičica ("Shy Violet") was a Croatian power-pop band of the early 1980s, part of the Yugoslav new wave years. The band was Zlatko Đurašina on guitar and vocals, Renato Happ on vocals, organ and piano, Tvrtko Zdunić on bass and Elvira Happ on drums and vocals.

All their records came out on Jugoton. In 1981 they released the singles "Volim te" and "Osvrni se na mene", with "Ostajem sam" on the B-side, and their first album, Osvrni se na mene, with short, melodic songs such as "Moderna Pepeljuga", "Plavi dan", "Djevojke izlaze u šetnju", "Obuci bakin kaput" and "Jesenje frke".

The second album, Jesenje frke, followed in 1982, named after a song from the first, together with the single "Ne idi!" backed with "Vrijeme leti normalno (Du-a, du-a, du-a, du-a)". The band split up soon after the second LP.

Their songs later reappeared on compilations of the Croatian eighties, such as Zvuk osamdesetih (1997) and 100 originalnih pjesama: Novi val (2021), and Croatia Records brought both albums together on the CD 2Na1 in 2010. The playlist here is their first album, Osvrni se na mene.
