About Septica

Septica is a band from Vinkovci, known for original and very funny songs. It was founded in 2003 by Milan Lazarević and the comic-book artist Dubravko Mataković, who perform under the stage names Bumushku Kushlu and Govnar Smrti. The other members also use joke names, among them Jukka Kunilunginen-Kleme on guitar and Dutch Dortmund-Jodl on bass.

After a few demo recordings, including a self-released album in 2003, and many club concerts, the band signed with Aquarius Records, which released the maxi single "Gaće" in 2005 and the first studio album, Septica, in 2006. That album has many of their best-known songs, from "Gaće" and "Momak" to "Livada", "Gojira" and "Ništa kontra Tita".

In 2007 they put out the live album Jebemti mater, recorded at a concert in Zagreb's KSET club. Their second studio album, Klub usamljenih srdaca narednika Pedera came out on Croatia Records in 2013, with songs such as "Janja", "Bodyguard", "Wash the Dishes" and "Motorkotači". Later singles include "Kovidaš sam ženo" and "Daj mi krila sokole".

Because they mix so many styles, from death metal to rap, the band is hard to place in any one genre. Many of their song titles are deliberately crude.
