About Rising Dream
Rising Dream is a metal band from Zadar, formed in 2004. Croatian Wikipedia files it as a death metal band and also lists it among the power metal acts, and its songs are sung in English.
A year after forming, the band opened for the German group Helloween, recorded its first demo, The Rising Madness, and was one of only two Croatian bands at the Metalcamp festival in Slovenia, which also featured Slayer, Soulfly and Anthrax. It also appeared on MTV Adria's Headbanger's Ball, opened for Helloween again in 2006 and released a second demo, The Spheres, in 2007.
Rising Dream then signed with Dallas Records, which released its first official studio album, Failed Apocalypse, in 2008. The band has shared the stage with Deep Purple, Amon Amarth, Motörhead, Sepultura, Children of Bodom, Hammerfall, Yngwie Malmsteen and Stratovarius, and its most notable show was as the opening act for Iron Maiden at Split's Poljud stadium.
The line-up changed a few times, most recently in 2010, when Ines Tančeva became the singer. The band is completed by Joško Barbir and Goran Paleka on guitars, Ivan Kutija on keyboards, Filip Letinić on bass and Igor Goić on drums and vocals. In 2024 a new song, "Religion of the Weak", appeared.
