Mesmera

Mesmera is a melodic progressive death metal band from Trogir, founded in 2010 by bassist Hrvoje Crnković and guitarist Petar Brkić, who also sings the clean vocals. Drummer Jerko Vičić and Blaž Tomaš on growled vocals soon joined them, together with a second guitarist. The name was picked from twenty candidates and comes from the English word "mesmerized".

In October 2011 the band released its first EP, Emptiness Foreseen, and in July 2012 the video for "Destined to Ruin". The EP's title comes from a line of "Devour the Core", a song about the social, economic and moral state of the country. Later in 2012 Vičić left and was replaced by drummer Josip Gruić, while guitarist Joško Civadelić came in; when Tomaš left in December 2014, Civadelić took over his part.

Mesmera finished its first full album, Paralyzer, in 2015, and it came out on Miner Recordings late in 2016. At the same time two members left and were replaced by singer Ante Balov and guitarist Dejan Zobenica. The band names Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, In Flames, Nevermore and Cannibal Corpse among its models, and in 2023 it was one of the bands chosen for the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle, the international contest for young bands at the German festival.

The playlist holds the band's official videos, from "Destined to Ruin" and "Bury Us Alive" to the lyric videos "Repulsive", "Thousand Curtains" and "Nobody's Saviour".
