Infernal Tenebra

Infernal Tenebra is a Croatian death metal band whose members come from Istria. It was founded in 1999 and played black metal at first, adding a death metal foundation over the following years.

In 2001 the line-up of Paolo Grižonić on bass, Danijel Biloslav on drums, Lari Šain and Igor Jurišević on guitars, Enver Jurdana on vocals and Alex Paoletić on keyboards released the first album, Beneath the Twilight, on their own. Changes followed: Darko Etinger took over vocals and guitar and Sandi Orbanić the drums, and in 2007 the band self-released The Essence of Chaos. Guitarist Ivo Petrović joined in 2009.

In 2012 Infernal Tenebra signed with the German label Massacre Records and released New Formed Revelations, recorded with the Swedish producer Jens Bogren, known for his work with Amon Amarth, Soilwork, Paradise Lost, Opeth and Kreator. They made videos for "Blood Stained Canvas" and "The Art of Survival", played several big festivals and shared stages with Behemoth, Gojira, Kreator, Exodus, Blind Guardian and Fear Factory, and early in 2014 they toured Japan with Rotting Christ, Vreid and Havok.

As Nations Fall followed on Massacre Records in 2016, with the videos "As Nations Fall" and "The Seventh Seal". The fourth album, Origins of Hate, came out in 2022, again mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren, and the band went back to Japan in 2023, filming the video for "Human Intolerant" there. Today's line-up is Darko Etinger, Ivo Petrović, Paolo Grižonić and drummer Sebastian Stell.
