About Sanatorium

Sanatorium is a thrash metal band from Skopje, North Macedonia, formed in 1987. Heavy metal became popular in Macedonia in the 1990s, and the Macedonian Wikipedia's overview of the country's rock music names Sanatorium as the most important band of that style.

The band self-released its demo, Welcome to Sanatorium, in 1991. Macedonian Radio Television issued the first album, Na rabot na razumot ("On the edge of reason"), in 1992, the same year as the live album Live in Hungary. No More followed in 1996, sung in English apart from its bonus tracks. In 2001 the label Lithium released the album Sanatorium, which gathered all of Na rabot na razumot together with two new singles and three live tracks.

After a long break Sanatorium came back in 2015 with a single of three new songs, "Molk", "Kaži 'Ne'" and "Molitva". The line-up today is Pero Stefanovski on guitar and vocals, Boban Vasilevski on guitar, Goran Stanković on bass and Goran Atanasov on drums; Konstantin Kačev played guitar with the band in earlier years.

The band's channel, SANATORIUM Macedonia, gathers its official videos, among them "Vo sebe umiram", "Sekoj den", "Our Doom", "Paranoya", "Molk" and "Kaži ne", newer recordings such as "Bez razum i svest" and "Senka na smrtta", and live sets from the music show Stisni Play on Macedonian television, the Taksirat and D Festival stages and the concert in Hungary.
