About Punkart
Punkart is a punk rock band from Tuzla in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was formed in 1998 by a group of teenagers, at a time when the town's underground scene was fading, and it has worked the do-it-yourself way ever since, releasing its records itself. The line-up is Haris Alibašić on vocals and guitar, Emir Zagorčić on guitar, Sead Hadžić on bass and Bojan Divković on drums.
The first recordings were demos made at home. The first, simply called Punkart, came out in 2000, and Generacija bez budućnosti, or GBB, followed in 2001, with six studio songs and five live recordings from the Tuzla Live festival. In 2003 the band finished second among 30 bands at a festival in Tuzla, and the prize was a music video for "Ja sam prevaren", still one of its best-known songs.
The albums followed: Stomak Tuzle in 2002, Terorizart in 2005 and Treble Trouble in 2010. After Terorizart the band toured Bosnia and Herzegovina with Unutrašnja emigracija and Andrija, and a year later it toured Croatia. At the 14th International Festival of Entertainment Music in Bihać, "U hotelu zla" won the audience's third prize.
In 2014 Punkart made its first short tour of Serbia. In July that year it played Demofest in Banja Luka, a competition for unsigned bands that drew 458 entries, and finished second behind Hulahoop from Slovenia. The festival brought the band back in 2015 as one of its headliners.
The single "Meni je dosta" premiered on MTV Adria at the end of October 2015. That year the band also played the Exit festival in Novi Sad, Cramp Fest in Slovenia and the Kaleidoskop festival. In 2018 it released a series of new official videos, among them "Terorizam i renesansa", "Ekrem", "Ujeo sam psa", "Revolution calls you" and a new recording of "Ja sam prevaren".
